DxO Affiliate Links

DxO has an affiliate program where they use DxO Affiliate links for content creators and influencers to earn addition income at no cost to the person using them. I signed up to the program to test it out and so I can learn how this side of the photography/influencer business works.

If you want to Try or Buy the software, that I now use to convert my raw files, please follow the links below.

Please note. That if you want to help me with a little bit of commission by using the affiliate links below, I would ask you to turn off your cookie blocker and allow cookies to track your visit as DxO uses Awin, an affiliate platform that uses cookies to track links and these enable the Awin DxO affiliate program to work. If you do have private browsing turned on, or change browsers while making the purchase, this breaks the functionality of the Awin platform.

I work for DxO as their Product Liaison for English speaking countries (not in the American continent). My use of the Affiliate program here, is so I can see how it works and to experience setting it up and maintaining it, and to help in my supporting the photography influencers that I work with.

What does DxO do you might ask? DxO is a French Photography Software company that makes PhotoLab, FilmPack, PureRaw ViewPoint and the Nik Collection.

DxO PhotoLab, is photo editing software designed for photographers who value quality colour. Unlike other programs, DxO PhotoLab doesn’t use a catalog, allowing you to manage your files your way without the hassle of importing and organizing. DxO PhotoLab’s unique colour science and advanced demosaicing process ensures exceptional detail and colour accuracy in your RAW files, resulting in unique colour rendition that stands out. With superb AI powered noise reduction, and an intuitive interface, DxO PhotoLab makes enhancing your photos straightforward and efficient. Elevate your photography with DxO PhotoLab’s superior technology and user-friendly design. Best of all, DxO PhotoLab operates on a license model, meaning you own the software outright with no ongoing monthly fees.

The Nik Collection by DxO is a suite of plugins tailored for photographers, each serving a unique purpose for comprehensive enhancement and correction capabilities. Color Efex offers an extensive array of filters designed for colour correction, retouching, and creative effects, with the new HSL filter and Vibrancy slider expanding your colour range and precision. Silver Efex is perfect for creating striking black-and-white photos, replicating the classic film look. It’s my favorite plugin in the Nik Collection, which I use for all my black-and-white conversions when working from TIFF or JPEG files, while I use DxO FilmPack for RAW files. Analog Efex transports your digital photos back in time with simulated film photography effects, adding vintage charm and character. Viveza utilises DxO’s U Point technology for precise local adjustments in colour and light, now enhanced with polygonal and elliptical control points, and luminosity masks for unmatched precision. Dfine specialises in noise reduction, particularly effective on TIFF and JPEG files, preserving essential details while eliminating unwanted noise, crucial for high-ISO images. HDR Efex allows for effortless creation of natural-looking or artistic HDR images by seamlessly merging multiple exposures, balancing your photos’ dynamic range to bring out details in both highlights and shadows. Lastly, Sharpener optimises your images’ sharpness for both digital display and print, applying sharpening exactly where needed to ensure every detail stands out. Output Sharpener is my second favourite plugin in the Nik Collection, as I use it on all my prints.

DxO FilmPack is a powerful tool for photographers looking to enhance their digital workflows with advanced film effects. It excels in converting RAW files, offering precise application of film grains, colours, and contrasts that emulate iconic analog films like Kodak, Fuji, and Ilford. Michael Wayne Plant, for instance, use DxO FilmPack to convert my RAW files to black and white, achieving film aesthetics while retaining the flexibility and precision of digital editing. For TIFF and JPEG files, I prefers using Silver Efex due to its specialised capabilities. FilmPack integrates seamlessly with DxO PhotoLab and other popular editing software, providing creative options like vintage effects, cross-processing, and custom color rendering. This makes it an great tool for photographers who want to work with a hybrid workflow, blending film and digital images into a cohesive body of work.

DxO ViewPoint is a powerful tool designed to correct perspective distortions and enhance geometric accuracy in photos, making it particularly useful for landscape and architectural photographers who need to straighten lines and correct the keystone effect caused by tilting the camera. It also offers advanced tools to correct volume deformation, ensuring objects at the edges of wide-angle photos appear natural. Additionally, ViewPoint includes a tilt-shift tool that simulates the creative effects of a tilt-shift lens, allowing photographers to achieve a miniature or “toy” effect by adjusting the plane of focus. As a social documentary photographer, I tend to not use this plugin, as my work doesn’t involve correcting for architectural distortions or creating tilt-shift effects. However, if I were focusing on landscape or architectural photography, DxO ViewPoint would be high on my list of must-have software for its ability to ensure precise and accurate image corrections.

DxO PureRaw is specialised software that enhances the quality of your RAW files by applying advanced demosaicing and denoising algorithms, resulting in cleaner, sharper images with better detail and less noise. It also corrects for atmospheric haze, improving the clarity and contrast of your photos. Renowned for having some of the best denoising capabilities in the industry, DxO PureRaw effectively reduces noise while preserving essential details. It integrates seamlessly into your existing workflow, allowing you to use it as a pre-processing tool before further editing in software like Photoshop (Camera Raw), Lightroom, or Affinity Photo. This ensures you start your editing process with great image quality, as DxO PureRaw provides a robust foundation for achieving the best possible final results.

As I part of my work as a product liaison for DxO, this page is on my website to test out the DxO Affiliate Links to make sure that I am understanding how the work and so I can help support the influencers that I work with.
