Camera Desire

AuthorPostedbyMichael Wayne Plant
Leica M6 image borrowed from the Leica UK website.

I might have made a mistake today, I was in the Leica Mayfair Store today to have my M11 sensor cleaned and someone, actually one of the stores staff, put a Leica M6 into my hands. I think I fell in love with it. I did not realise that it was lighter than the M11, it just felt nice in the hand. The black body just screamed you want me when in my hands. And, I only hand it in my hands for a few minutes, as I decided I did not need to feel that anymore. I mean, seriously, I have only put about three rolls of film though any camera since 2003.That was when I got my first Digital camera a Nikon D70 so why am I still looking at film cameras is 2023? I think I am going to have to get out my Nikon FM2 and put the 40mm Voigtlander lens on it and take it for a walk and see how I feel about film photography. Before I do something I shouldn’t do and buy another over priced camera and a film camera at that.

PS Update: I now Now a Leica MA film camera so my lamentations about not going there did not work.
